About Atlanta Web Design GA

Meet Jonathan Beacher, owner

Atlanta Web Design GA designs affordable websites for retail stores, services, wholesalers, online shopping, and more.

When you work with Atlanta Web Design GA, you'll be teaming with Jonathan Beacher. In addition to helping your web design become a winner, Jonathan owns other website businesses and licenses a database to Microsoft for use in their local search engine. But he really enjoys working one-on-one with business owners to help you succeed.

His experience in marketing goes back many years. In the 1970's he branded Atlanta's WXIA-TV as "11 Alive" while serving as the TV station's Vice President of Marketing. His advertising campaigns on TV and in print earned him an Emmy and Addy awards. He became a marketing consultant to many TV stations nationwide, and networks including ABC, NBC, MTV, and more, as well as Corporate VP for Gannett Broadcasting Group and a consultant to Atlanta's Channel 5.

He has been involved with the Internet even before it was called that. In 1983 he wrote and produced a TV show, "The National Home Information Services Test," and aired it in 16 major cities. The show let you see on screen what it would be like to use PC services that didn't exist yet, like email, home shopping, and interactive news and entertainment. Over 16,000 people filled out a research survey reacting to these new ideas and how much they would pay. The findings were shared with over 50 firms who sponsored his project, including AT&T, IBM, Sears, CBS, Bank of America, Tribune Corporation, Control Video Corporation (which became AOL) and many others.

Jonathan Beacher of Atlanta Web Design GABy 1985 he was overseeing marketing research for his client, AT&T, when the USA's first paid "Internet" service, Viewtron, was launched.

Beacher's family was among the first to beta test a new PC information service launched by IBM, Sears, and CBS called Trintex, later renamed Prodigy, and when the service was publicly launched in New York in 1989, the Beachers appeared as the "Prodigy family" at the press conference where his young sons, Scott and Brandon, explained to curious news reporters how in the future, everyone would use PC's connected to information services to read news, shop, bank, and enjoy entertainment. The IBM Annual Report featured an article on the Beachers.

Scott attended the University of Georgia and today is a gifted Flash animator working at Hollywood's top firm that makes websites for the biggest Hollywood films. (If you need fabulous Flash for your site, we know where to get it.) Brandon returned from Silicon Valley to his Georgia Tech roots and works in Atlanta on web projects that need advanced programming.

Jonathan Beacher graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Communication Arts & Sciences.
